Objectives
- Encourage the circulation of information on policies on gender equality, particularly those which have an increasingly heavy impact on the gap between men and women; - Evaluate the projects and programs focused on gender and propose alternative solutions; - Allow women’s organizations to conduct their own evaluations of gender programs and of other sectors where discrimination among the sexes is most apparent; - Contribute to the development of advocacy regarding gender equality within African civil society; - Encourage women and men’s participation in advocacy work aimed at changing anti-poor and anti-women policies.

The policies bearing on gender equality regarding access to services, opportunities and national resources has for the past few decades been one of the bottlenecks of the development aid policies pursued in Africa. No serious observer of the development and democratization process can remain indifferent to the persistence of this problem. It is Aid Transparency’s intention to help remove this obstacle through the following objectives:
